Villa Bright
Just 100 meters far from the most beautiful beach of Cefalù, on the shores of “Mazzaforno” cape, lies this wonderful modern villa, built back in 2001 and realised by following the most exclusive rules of “Organic architecture”: shapes and structure are originally designed in order to provide the house with an exclusive and refined look and atmosphere, as well as to enhance a harmonious symbiosis between man and nature. Air and light permeate the whole construction, thus shaping the house and its character, and materials have been chosen with the utmost regard towards their quality as well as their recall of local traditions.
The whole property covers an area of around 1700 sqm., while the house itself is about 300 square meters. A lush Mediterranean garden surrounds the house, rich in rare and gorgeous plants and flowers, and plenty of outdoor space is available to enjoy the pleasant temperatures that grace the island all year round as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the area. Relaxing in the lovely patio with refined garden furniture, enjoying a glass of local wine while chilling on the hammock, reading a book under the shade of an olive tree in the garden, tasting an al fresco dinner on the outside dining area… Outdoor life has never been so pleasant.
And the indoors are absolutely stunning as well: light, space, exclusive design and refined modern furniture… From the bathroom tiles to the beautiful kitchen, from the astonishing exposed-beam ceiling of the library/reading room to the peculiar wooden table of the dining area.
Wide French windows separate the patio from three sides of the house: indoors and outdoors are perfectly blended and merged, and the atmosphere is so idyllic that one may feel like he’s living a permanent holiday.
Striking pieces of furniture are set in every room. The whole living area is organised around the central high-tech fireplace that separates the dining from the living area, a beautiful wide room that opens right onto the equipped lounge area of the patio; the kitchen is modern and bright, and the sleeping area is refined as well. Three bedrooms are available – two double and a twin, all with wide glass doors opening onto the verdant garden, all with private bathroom (two with shower, one with tub). An additional WC is set next to the living room.
And then last but not least: a sun terrace right on the roof!
Cefalù and Surroundings
Cape Mazzaforno houses one of the most beautiful beaches of the area of Cefalù: the pristine water of the sea is warm and hides a varied seabed that scuba diving lovers will particularly appreciate. A lazy day at the beach is just paradise! And the wonders of Northern and Western Sicily are within easy reach: Cefalù, one of the most beautiful hamlets in Sicily attracting thousands of visitors from all over the world every year, is just a few minutes away from this charming villa. This fascinating town has a peculiar, wonderful Medieval historical centre rich in beautiful palaces and landmarks – the most famous one is the Cathedral, with its stunning byzantine mosaics, built right under the “rock” of Cefalù (panoramas are just breath-taking from up there). The Madonie Mountains, with their lovely landscapes and tiny picturesque villages, are perfect for hiking excursions as well as for discovering ancient traditions and delicious typical products of the area; heading east, lovely seafaring resorts such as Tindari, Capo D’Orlando and Milazzo can be easily reached. Ferries from the harbour of Milazzo will take you to the marvellous Aeolian archipelago: 7 beautiful islands, UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their fascinating unspoilt landscapes, all ready to be discovered. And if you go west, you’ll find that the vibrant and sumptuous city of Palermo, the capital of the island, is just an hour away: stunning monuments, a picturesque ancient historical centre, delicious typical street food and a city with indisputable charm.
